Sarah... with the Sweet Golden Light.

Sarah & I had time to play on the Drive and then hop over to Trout Lake Park, to capture her in the "Jesus light".
Glorious!

On the way, we stopped for this one... love it...

Thanks for the fun!

Sarah... on the Drive

Sarah was one of the lucky winners of a 50-minute session with me from my 100th blog post. It took a while to coordinate schedules, but finally we were able to have some photo-fun together!

You can see me! :-)

We played around on Commercial Drive first... I love these photos! They are fun and strong - just like Sarah.

Gold-Silver-Bronze at YEW restaurant + bar

In preparation for the upcoming 2010 Olympic Games, the YEW restaurant+bar in the Four Season Hotel Vancouver is serving up some medal winning cocktails.
Bartender Justin Taylor created these, inspired by the 3 Olympic Games hosted in Canada - and they look delicious!

Gold (Vancouver 2010) - includes Victoria Gin (from Vancouver Island) and smoked salmon. Wow.

Silver (Calgary '88) - like a Caesar, and served with Beef Jerky.

Bronze (Montreal '76) - Maple Sugar and Whiskey... oh my.

I would like one of each, please.

First Autumn Discoveries

Autumn is one of my favourite times - the colour & crispness in the air.

I love the cozy sweaters and, for little Anna, the discovery of...

... leaves!

Oh my I love this one - so funny.
(What?!? You can't eat them?)

Jericho Beach

Usually I play volleyball here in the summer and it looks very different without all of that... but opens it up for some amazing photos.

Just look at that light - it gives me shivers!

And even more shivers when I see the emotion in this last photo... that laugh is awesome! I had such a great night with this young family!

A little extra cuteness from Granville Island

Nature Photo Tour in Stanley Park

What a great job I have!
As an Associate of Voth Photography, I spent a Sunday afternoon with photo enthusiasts from Meet Market Adventures in Stanley Park to share a bit of my knowledge about photography and cameras. We had a fabulous sunny day (good for contrast of light!) to meander in the park and photograph - here's a few I captured inbetween talks.

Thanks for a great day!

Play Time on Granville Island

Granville Island is full of places to play in its many little nooks and crannies. Perfect for children of all ages, and especially these two! We had so much fun (well I know I did!) running around on a Sunday morning.

A trip to Granville Island isn't complete without a candy stop...
;-)

It was wonderful to see how the girls have grown since I photographed them last year in North Vancouver!
So Cute.

Good Morning Granville Island!

I spent a Sunday morning on Granville Island recently and I must say, it was fantastic.

And this was extra special... Keri arranged this photosession for her, her sister and her mom, who came out from Manitoba to help Keri get ready for her move. (Mind you, I think they spent more time having fun that weekend then packing...)

I love these ones I catch before they think I'm ready... ;-)

I just couldn't resist this one... thanks for playing along!

Thanks for letting me in on the fun!

(and there will be more to show soon! It was a busy morning!)

Kitchen Uncorked - Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver

What a fabulous event to be a part of! The Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver's Kitchen Uncorked event, celebrating the YEW restaurant, and 150 local business people. And, of course, me & my camera. There was an amazing spread of incredibly tasty treats and scrumptious eats.
SO. GOOD.

Thanks to the Four Seasons for having me as a part of the event!

Cheers & Enjoy.

These were amazing... now that I'm hungry again, I wish I would have put the camera down for a little while, and tasted more!

Thanks to this gentlemen who convinced me to try these - they were yummy yummy.
