SNOW!

It's pretty exciting to have some snow dusting the streets of Vancouver.

I'm reminded of a winter wedding I photographed at Cypress Hills Provincial Park where the groom's biggest hope for his wedding day was snow... and we got plenty of it!

...love these!

Wide Open Spaces Series

My computer lately has begun to take on the "look" of my office - slightly unorganized chaos. (The sign of a genius, right?!)
My filing system is currently a little mixed up, and upon searching for a certain prairie image, I stumbled upon these - images that I haven't shared yet.

I had been visiting my folks in March of 2008 and my dad (who initially inspired me and nurtured my love of photography) took me into the rolling hills of Southwest Saskatchewan along the old Red Coat Trail. There's not much there anymore, except for some glimpses of the past and reminders of what was.

These show my love of the landscape where I grew up - big skies and rolling plains. As much as I love Vancouver, there's a piece of my heart that will always be in that land.

Fashionista!

I was so lucky to spend the afternoon with Raine & her mom at one of their favourite places - Granville Island! Raine has such beautiful, bright eyes, a contagious laugh and a great fashion sense! (I think she gets that from her mom - the owner of Narcissist Design Co.)

Needless to say, I had such a great time!
Thanks ladies!

Raine... and no rain.

I was all set with umbrellas at Granville Island for typical Vancouver November rain... and as luck would have it, no rain for Raine's session! :-)

I had so much fun photographing this energetic fashionista!
This is just a peek... I'll be posting more soon!
