Wedding Guest

I had the priviledge of attending a lovely wedding last weekend in Vancouver, and I thought I'd share a few snaps that I captured (I really can't resist, even when I'm a guest!).

I love the images of the flower girls waiting to enter the hall, and, of course, the image of the bride (stunning!) after the ceremony.

PANIC!

On a rainy afternoon in late March, BC Wood Works held it's annual wood catapult competition at UBC. I was there with the team "PANIC" (Port Alberni North Island College) from the Joinery/Cabinet Making program at the College on Vancouver Island. Competing against UBC & BCIT engineering students, PANIC was the team to beat with their improved, innovative design.

By the time it was PANIC's turn to compete, the sun was shining. It was a lot of fun to photograph PANIC as they hit the targets and won the longest distance competition.

Whytecliffe Park

After spending so much time at the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay, I don't often think of heading over there to just visit. But that's before I knew about Whytecliffe Park. It is quite lovely and worth the trip, and a good place to play with a new camera!
